These Terms apply when you purchase services from The Small Content Desk through smallcontentdesk.com.
By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. About The Small Content Desk
The Small Content Desk provides content planning and social media content creation services for small businesses.

2. Business customers
Our services are intended for customers purchasing for purposes related to their trade, business, craft or profession.
By placing an order, you confirm that you are purchasing the service for business purposes.
3. Our services
The services and deliverables included in each package are described on the relevant package page at the time you place your order.
Your order may include a tailored content plan, written captions, graphics, social media content, content ideas, posting guidance or other deliverables depending on the package selected.
4. Client questionnaire and materials
After ordering, you will be asked to complete a client questionnaire.
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information and supplying any photographs, videos, logos, brand materials or other content needed to complete the work.
Delivery times do not begin until we have received the information and materials reasonably required to start your project.
5. Your responsibilities
You confirm that:
- you have the right to provide and use all materials you send to us
- materials you provide do not infringe another person's copyright, privacy or other rights
- information you provide about your business, products, pricing and services is accurate
- you will review factual information before publishing finished content
You remain responsible for the final use and publication of your content.
6. Delivery
We aim to deliver your project within the timeframe stated on the website, at checkout or in subsequent correspondence.
Delivery may be delayed if required information or materials are not provided on time.
If an unexpected delay occurs, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
7. Revisions
Any revisions included with your package will be described on the package page or in your order confirmation.
Revision requests should relate to the original brief and information provided.
Significant changes in direction, additional deliverables or work outside the original scope may require an additional fee.
8. Payments
Payment is due in full when you place your order unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Prices are shown in GBP unless otherwise stated.
Payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers. The Small Content Desk does not directly store your payment card details.
9. Cancellations and refunds
Because our services are tailored to each individual business, cancellation depends on whether work has started.
If you wish to cancel before work has begun, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@smallcontentdesk.com.
Once work has begun, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where The Small Content Desk is unable to provide the agreed service.
If we cancel a project and cannot provide the service you purchased, you will receive an appropriate refund for any part of the service that has not been provided.
Nothing in these Terms removes any legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the original photographs, videos, logos, text and other materials you provide to us.
Once your order has been paid in full, you receive a perpetual, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, edit and publish the final bespoke content created for your business.
The Small Content Desk retains ownership of its underlying methods, templates, systems, processes and reusable materials.
Any third-party assets remain subject to the licence terms of their respective owners.
11. Portfolio use
We will not publicly use your private client materials or finished project as a portfolio example without your permission.
12. Social media platforms
We are not affiliated with or responsible for third-party platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or LinkedIn.
We cannot guarantee reach, engagement, followers, sales or other specific performance results from social media content.
13. Limitation of liability
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.
To the extent permitted by law, The Small Content Desk will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business opportunity or losses arising from decisions made by social media platforms or other third parties.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
14. Confidentiality
We will treat non-public business information supplied for your project as confidential and will use it only as reasonably necessary to provide the service.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms that apply to your order are the version in effect when your order is placed.
